Just thought I’d take a few pictures with my husband’s iphone and then post them as my blog entry today 🙂 Got up around 9 to feed the baby, and then put him back down from 10-1pm. In that time, lots was accomplished, including washing some more things in the kitchen for them to pack, making the movers and us hot dogs for lunch, going through the closet and bathroom to get clothes and things out before they packed those areas, and just more general “to-do” list things that I had come up with during the night and noted on my computer 🙂 You know – scheduling appointments, making a dinner reservation, transferring money, googling a few things – stuff like that.
John worked a lot in the garage where it turns out water had ruined a few of our things – a DVD player, an older Xbox, a coffee table, a microwave — apparently things were wet, slimy, and covered in slugs. Ick. John picked up the van from the shop by walking down there with four of the kids, and then he loaded it with junky yucky stuff from the garage as well as lots of other trash and recycling we’ve been accumulating during the packout. Right around 2pm when the movers were getting ready to leave for the day and Greer was going down for a nap, we decided to make our run to the dump with the baby and the four older children, stopping at the outlet mall afterwards since it was near there to check on a sport coat we have been wanting to get for John. Not in his size, but they are trying to get one from another store for him. We did come away with these, though – new fun suitcases for the grownups 🙂
There’s another British bag that’s the size of the butterfly one next to it, inside the big British bag. When we came home the kids played with their Trunkis, riding around on them, pulling each other, putting stickers on. Gabriel packed his for the trip – all ready to go to Scotland on Tuesday for a week!
