Tuesday Trip Report: Looking Up in Downtown

Been busy with John’s sister Alisa who is visiting from California and arrived last night while I was at band practice. Today – the gym together, then a jaunt around the city.  Not much time for words tonight, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking.  We started off at a rooftop bar for lunch, snapping shots from the top of the city and ended up meandering through a quaint alley, staring up at majestic steeples.  This post will JUST be photos (hopefully, some will contain informative captions), and they are in two inconvenient groupings since I don’t want to upload them one by one. (Sorry!)  First off: the pictures I didn’t just upload to Facebook, in order from this morning – to lunch on the roof – to playing at Waterfront Park – to the Charleston City Market – and finally wandering the city streets (and alleys.)  Then: the better pictures (ie – the ones I deemed “Facebook worthy.”)  They should all be in the same order and will fill in the gaps.  Be sure to scroll all the way to the end if you’re actually interesting in some beautiful architecture! 🙂  There are several neat ones showing the great barefoot running form our girls already have – probably my favorites of the bunch!
